FEMYSO would like to express its horror and condemnation on the atrocious attack on the Ozar Hatorah Jewish children's school in the French city of Toulouse that took place yesterday, Monday 19th of March, where one teacher and three young children were killed.

This unlawful act along side the similar two shootings in the same region earlier this month, where three French Muslim soldiers were shot dead by a gunman, while a fourth soldier of Carribean descent was left in coma, is yet another clear and worrying sign of growing racism and Islamophobia in Europe.

Sadly this is not just an ‘isolated incident’, but only one despicable instance in a consistent pattern of violence directed at representatives of ENAR member organisations in several countries, not to mention the numerous ordinary individuals across Europe who face xenophobic and racist violence and abuse on a daily basis.
