One of the main outcomes of the campaign was this Greenup! Toolkit

The Green Up! Toolkit contains tips and advice for Muslims individuals and institutions on reducing our carbon footprint.

EU Court decision on workplace ban on headscarf legitimises discrimination of Muslim women

The Court ruled on two cases brought by women employees who were dismissed because they wore the headscarf, and said that internal rules prohibiting visible wearing of any political, philosophical or religious sign do not constitute direct discrimination.

“This is an extremely worrying decision because it effectively bars all Muslim women wearing the headscarf from the workplace”, said Amel Yacef, ENAR Chair. “This is nothing short of a Muslim ban applied only to women in private employment, just because of how they choose to dress according their religion.”

Brussels, 14 March 2017 – A decision by the EU Court of Justice backing private sector workplace bans on headscarves seriously undermines the right to equality and non-discrimination of women, a group of anti-racism organisations said today.

Nous sommes choqués par cette attaque contre des vies innocentes et contre la liberté de la presse. FEMYSO, en tant que la plus grande plate-forme de jeunes Musulmans Européens, tient à exprimer sa sympathie et ses condoléances pour les pertes qui ont eu lieu aujourd'hui, et nos pensées les plus sincères sont avec les victimes, les familles et le peuple français.

FEMYSO condemns the attack on the Eskilstuna mosque in Sweden

The Forum of European Muslim Youth and Student Organisations (FEMYSO) condemns in the strongest possible terms the abhorrent attack on the Eskilstuna mosque, East of Sweden. We are saddened by the fact that this attack took place on a day meant to signify hope and new beginnings. Instead, we see the a worrying trend of intolerance and Islamophobia continuing to rise across Europe.
