EADAI Conference

The European Action Day Against Islamophobia (EADAI) Conference is one of FEMYSO’s flagship annual events, organised in recognition of the European Action Day Against Islamophobia on 21 September. Hosted at the European Parliament in Brussels, the conference provides a critical platform to raise awareness of the systemic policies, practices, and narratives that marginalise Muslim communities across Europe.

Each year, the conference convenes Members of the European Parliament, policymakers, journalists, civil society actors, and youth advocates for a series of panel discussions exploring Islamophobia from different perspectives. Previous themes have addressed issues such as the institutionalisation of Islamophobia in Europe, the role of AI in perpetuating bias, and the shrinking of civic space for youth. This breadth of focus ensures that the conference remains responsive to emerging challenges while emphasising the interconnectedness of discrimination across social, political, and digital domains.

Beyond reflection, the EADAI Conference fosters solidarity and collective action by creating opportunities for dialogue and collaboration between young people and decision-makers. It amplifies the voices of European Muslim youth, ensuring they are central to shaping inclusive solutions and advocating for a Europe that truly upholds its values of justice, dignity, and equality for all.

As a flagship initiative, the conference highlights FEMYSO’s long-standing commitment to combating Islamophobia and empowering youth as agents of change in building a fairer and more cohesive Europe.
