Unite & Act: Cross-Border Youth Coalitions for Minority Inclusion

From consulting to sharing best practises, leadership training and cross-boarded collaborations, Unite & Act served a meaningful space for learning, connections and collaboration.

In mid-June 2026, FEMYSO hosted an intensive 3-day training aimed at strengthening the cross-boarder coalitions of youth organisations while providing leadership training and networking opportunities essential for addressing shared challenges in Europe. Participants represented 12 European countries across the Council of Europe Member States, demonstrating the pan-European nature of our network.

This intensive 3-day training brought together 36 participants consisting of the leadership of FEMYSO and the representatives of a diverse group of youth organisations to develop leadership skills, share best practises, and build cross-border networks. The training followed a carefully designed programme delivered with the approach of non-formal education, utilising diverse methods such as case-studies, workshop and role-plays. Structured opportunities for best practise sharing where provided in governance, finance & fundraising, and public relations. Participants were encouraged to exchange ideas and create actionable plans to enhance their organisations.

Participants engaged with FEMYSO through dialogue and consultations, meaningfully contributing to FEMYSO’s activities, campaigns and strategic direction. Through the programme, the participants were provided with opportunities for networking and collaboration through group discussions and fun team-building activities. This experience provided participants with essential leadership skills while building stronger coalitions across Europe.

The project was co-funded by the European Union.
