Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe​

(ACoY)

The Advisory Council on Youth (ACoY) is the non-governmental partner in the co-management structure which establishes the standards and work priorities of the Council of Europe’s youth sector and makes recommendations for future priorities, programmes and budgets. FEMYSO is currently represented on the ACoY for the mandate 2020-2021.

Conference of European Churches

(CEC)

a fellowship bringing together 114 churches from Orthodox, Protestant, and Anglican traditions from all over Europe for dialogue, advocacy, and joint action.  Together we strengthen our common witness, act in service to Europe and the world, promote peace, and work for the unity of the Church.

European Commission against Racism and Intolerance

(ECRI)

The European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) is a unique human rights monitoring body which specialises in questions relating to the fight against racism, discrimination, xenophobia, antisemitism and intolerance in Europe; it prepares reports and issues recommendations to member States.

European Roma Grassroots Organisations Network

(ERGO Network)

European Roma Grassroots Organisations Network. ERGO Network is a young and dynamic organisation established in 2008 by a small group of NGOs who shared the observation that everyday realities of Roma communities were hardly taken into account in policy development and implementation.

INGOs Conference of the Council of Europe​

The INGO Conference of the Council of Europe is a space for free and innovative participation of committed citizens, offering the possibility to contribute directly to the construction of Europe. It is the only assembly of NGOs playing an institutional role in an international intergovernmental organisation. FEMYSO has been a member of the INGO Conference since 2004.

No Hate Speech Network

(NHSN)

The No Hate Speech Network is a network set up by 110 activists and their organisations – partners to the campaign, and it is open for new members. It will work on co-ordinating the various activists and organisations who work against hate speech, making sure that they can set up partnerships, raise their proposals and points when it comes to standards and approaches in countering hate speech. The Network was established as a result of the No Hate Speech Movement campaign which was initiated by the Advisory Council and led by the Council of Europe’s Youth Department between 2013 and 2017.

SinanWren Foundation

Sinan Wren Foundation’s mission is predicated on three spheres of thinking incorporating; innovation, inspiration and identity. Each sphere of learning revolves around its axis enabling the foundation to continuously create and disseminate intellectual and knowledge capital whilst at the same time facilitating the global interaction of building bridges amongst people and communities.

Young European Federalists (JEF) is a political youth organisation. Active in most European countries, it seeks to promote European integration through the strengthening and democratisation of the European Union (EU).

The European AI & Society Fund

The European AI & Society Fund (EAISF), established in 2020, supports civil society to actively shape AI policies so that technology serves people and society. At a pivotal moment for AI regulation in Europe and beyond, EAISF strengthens organisations’ capacity for policy and advocacy through funding, learning, and collaboration. It also works with philanthropic partners to deepen their understanding and engagement on AI-related issues, ensuring that civil society remains a strong voice in guiding the future of artificial intelligence.

Migrant Tales

Migrant Tales is a blog community focused on discussing important issues faced by immigrants and minorities in Finland and beyond. It provides a platform for voices that are often overlooked or misunderstood by mainstream media, politicians, and the public. By sharing stories and perspectives, Migrant Tales aims to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and promote greater understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by diverse communities.

Diaspora Vote

#DiasporaVote! is a nonprofit founded in 2018 to strengthen representation and inclusion of racialized communities in Europe. It encourages diaspora communities to engage in EU politics by highlighting how policies impact their daily lives and by promoting participation in decision-making. With a focus on tackling racism, exclusion, invisibility, and discrimination, the organisation strives to ensure that minority voices are heard and valued at the European level.

The European Civic Forum

The European Civic Forum (ECF), founded in 2005, is a pan-European network of nearly 100 associations and NGOs across 29 countries. It promotes civic participation, dialogue, and equality, advocating for inclusive societies grounded in freedom, solidarity, and democracy. ECF supports civil society actors, strengthens democratic processes, and works to ensure access to fundamental rights for all, aiming for a Europe guided by justice, human rights, and social and cultural inclusion.

European Jews for Palestine

European Jews for Palestine is a network of Jewish collectives across Europe, representing diverse traditions and perspectives, united in advocating for justice, equality, and the rights of the Palestinian people. The organisation challenges Israel’s occupation and policies of oppression while rejecting the conflation of anti-Zionism with antisemitism. Committed to anti-racism and solidarity, it promotes a future where Jewish identity is distinct from colonial politics and where the self-determination of the Palestinian people is fully respected.

The European Parliament Anti-Racism and Diversity Intergroup (ARDI) exists to promote racial equality, counter racism, and educate about non-discrimination in the work of the European Parliament.

CEJI - A Jewish Contribution to an inclusive Europe

CEJI – A Jewish Contribution to an Inclusive Europe is a non-governmental organisation based in Brussels, Belgium. Established in 1991, the organisation's areas of expertise include: education; inclusion and social cohesion; discrimination and xenophobia; hate speech and hate crime; media and digital literacy. FEMYSO and CEJI collaborated on various initiatives over the years, and you can read here a co-authored article ‘How to combat anti-Semitism and Islamophobia?’ published at the EU Observer.

European Students' Union

(ESU)

The aim of ESU is to represent and promote the educational, social, economic and cultural interests of students at the European level towards all relevant bodies and in particular the European Union, Bologna Follow Up Group, Council of Europe and UNESCO. FEMYSO is currently an associate member of ESU.

International Roma Youth Network

(TernYpe)

TernYpe - International Roma Youth Network is a network of youth and youth associations, which creates space for young people to become active citizens through empowerment, mobilisation, self-organisation and participation. The organisation believes in the common efforts by creating trust, and mutual respect between Roma and non-Roma youth.

Open Society Foundations is an international grantmaking network founded by business magnate George Soros. Open Society Foundations financially support civil society groups around the world, with a stated aim of advancing justice, education, public health and independent media.

World Student Christian Federation

(WSCF) – Europe

WSCF Europe is part of a global federation of grassroot Student Christian Movements (SCMs). These local organisations work on campuses and nationally to bring Christian students from all denominations together to work on issues of social justice. As a global organisation the World Student Christian Federation connects SCMs through events, networks and solidarity/advocacy work. WSCF Europe bring students from our 28 SCMs across Europe together through international conferences, campaigns and the student journal Mozaik.

Youth of European Nationalities

(YEN)​

Youth of European Nationalities (YEN) is the largest network of youth organisations of autochthonous, national and linguistic minorities in Europe. Under the slogan “Living Diversity”, YEN represents the interests of young members of national, ethnic and linguistic minorities. Currently 41 member organisations from 18 countries are represented in YEN. YEN has been advocating for the interests of minorities, with a special focus on young people. Together with its member organisations, YEN aims for a dynamic, multicultural, and above all multilingual, Europe.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is the largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, dedicated to promoting justice, protecting civil liberties, and fostering mutual understanding. Since 1994, CAIR has worked through media engagement, legal advocacy, policy work, and community empowerment to challenge discrimination, promote a positive image of Islam, and ensure Muslim voices are represented in civic life. It remains committed to equality, dialogue, and defending the rights of all Americans.

Muslim Charities Forum is the UK network supporting British Muslim charities working for social good in the UK and abroad. United by shared Islamic values, it aims to build a more transparent, accountable, and effective charitable sector. MCF provides resources, training, networking, and advocacy to help its members improve their impact and promote best practices. The Forum champions the vital role Muslim-led charities play in civil society, striving to create a fairer and more just future for all through collective action and sector-wide support.

Altera is a cultural association founded in 2001 in Turin, dedicated to exploring and critically discussing political, cultural, artistic, and social changes in society. It operates as an autonomous, democratic, non-profit organisation promoting active citizenship and intergenerational dialogue, with a focus on engaging younger generations. Altera organises cultural events, film festivals, and educational workshops, often collaborating with local institutions. It also supports civic service projects and anti-discrimination training, aiming to foster inclusion, human rights awareness, and community participation across the Piedmont region.

AEGEE Europe

AEGEE-Europe, founded in 1985 in Paris, is one of Europe’s largest interdisciplinary student organisations. As a non-governmental, non-profit, and politically independent network, it unites young people from all fields of study across 40 countries. With 13,000 members in 161 cities, AEGEE promotes a democratic, diverse, and borderless Europe. It empowers youth to actively shape society, fosters dialogue and learning, and represents their voices to decision-makers.

Basket pour Toutes

Basket pour Toutes, is a collective dedicated to inclusion and combating discrimination in basketball. Comprising players, coaches, club leaders, and other stakeholders, it advocates for the rights of athletes, particularly those wearing religious head coverings, to participate freely in the sport. The organisation challenges discriminatory regulations and promotes equality, ensuring that all players can engage in basketball without facing sanctions or exclusion based on religious or cultural expression.

Equinet

Equinet is the European Network of Equality Bodies, connecting public institutions that combat discrimination at the national level. The network facilitates the sharing of expertise, knowledge, and best practices among its members, helping them learn from successes and challenges in implementing their mandates. As a member-driven organisation, Equinet ensures that all strategic decisions, including its existence and evolution, are determined collectively by its members.

Collective Against Islamophobia in Belgium

(CCIB)

CIIB is a non-profit association (asbl) made up of experienced anti-racist activists. It operates in Belgium, in the three regions of the country, Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels-Capital. As part of the fight against Islamophobia, CCIB aims to be active in organising training courses, conferences, seminars, information campaigns, demonstrations and any other event that contributes to raising awareness among our fellow citizens about this specific form of racism and the different ways of combating it.

Ecumenical Youth Council in Europe

(EYCE)

Ecumenical Youth Council in Europe (EYCE) is a strong network of young Christians from all over Europe who seek unity between Christians and are engaged in the work for justice, peace & the integrity of creation. EYCE and FEMYSO cooperate in interfaith/ interreligious seminars and campaigns.

European Network Against Racism

(ENAR)

The European Network Against Racism (ENAR), founded in 1998 by grassroots activists, is the only pan-European anti-racism network combining advocacy for racial equality with civil society cooperation. It works to end structural racism and discrimination, pushing for legal change and greater solidarity across Europe. FEMYSO is founding member of ENAR and remains a full member to date.

European Youth Forum

(YFJ)

The European Youth Forum (YFJ) is the platform of youth organisations in Europe. YFJ represent over 100 youth organisations, which bring together tens of millions of young people from all over Europe. The Youth Forum works to empower young people to participate actively in society to improve their own lives by representing and advocating their needs and interests and those of their organisations. In the current uncertain political and social context that affects young people, they can be powerful catalysts for positive change and contributors of innovative solutions to Europe’s challenges.

The Open Society European Policy Institute is the EU policy and advocacy branch of the Open Society Foundations network, based in Brussels. It works to influence and inform decision-making on EU laws, policy, funding, and external action to maintain and promote open societies in Europe and beyond.

Amnesty International

Amnesty International is a global movement of over 10 million people dedicated to ensuring human rights are upheld for everyone, everywhere. Independent of political, economic, or religious interests, it works to expose injustice, hold violators accountable, and stand with victims of abuse. Guided by values of international solidarity, impartiality, and the universality of human rights, Amnesty combines research and action to prevent and end serious violations, striving for a world where the rights in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are fully realised.

Center for Muslimers Rettigheder

CEDA is a rights-based organisation dedicated to combating Islamophobia and advocating for the rights of Muslims in Denmark. It documents discrimination through annual reports and works to raise awareness about Islamophobia in media, politics, and society. CEDA’s vision is for Muslims to enjoy equal living conditions and be recognised as equal members of Danish society. Through research, campaigns, and advocacy, CEDA strives to promote equality and challenge prejudice at both national and international levels.

The Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions

The Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions (OBESSU), founded in 1975 in Dublin, is the platform uniting national school student unions across Europe in secondary and vocational education. It brings together independent, democratic organisations to collaborate and represent students’ voices. Through its General Assembly, OBESSU defines its activities, political stance, and statutes, while electing representatives responsible for implementing its work plan and steering the organisation until the next assembly.
